Portraits 2: The Engagement Files

Sunday, August 10th was Portraits 2: The Engagement Files. It was a mini-engagement marathon that hosted by ENV Photography in downtown Edmonton. Eleven couples came out to play that day and all of the sessions were wonderful! I met a lot of fabulous people and took even better photos of them! Here are a few from the day until I can get them all edited!! I can only hope that I will be lucky enough to get to photograph a few of these wonderful people on their big day!

Toga! Toga! Ginny's bachelorette party!

This past Saturday, August 9th, I met with 5 lovely ladies to celebrate Ginny's last few weeks as an umarried woman. The toga party was a surprise, and so was I! We had great fun as the ladies got into their costumes for the photoshoot to kick off the day! It was super fun and action packed! I look forward to getting to tag along for more of these cool bachelorette parties! Much better than getting plastered at a bar... Here's a few teaser shots for now! Kim and Eddie's surprise wedding at Chateau Lacombe in Edmonton!

This past Monday, August 4th, I joined Kim and Eddie in their suite at Chateau Lacombe for their surprise wedding. Two of their friends joined us to act as witnesses and we wandered around the hotel and downtown to capture some great photos!

A Sunday with Carley and Emma

On Sunday, July 20th, I was joined by Carley and her darling daughter Emma at the Muttart Conservatory where we played in the sun. Emma did not want me to take her picture, but I snuck some good shots anyway! Enjoy!

Past my bedtime with Anti-Nowhere League

Last night I was convinced to come out of self-imposed hiding and I went to the first night of Unrest Fest and took a few shots of Anti-Nowhere League. Hurray for not using flash! The show was great, albeit stinky due to the crusty factor of a good number of the crowd. I'm glad I went! Here's a few of the better shots from the night!

Flowers for fun!

Today I convinced my darling Derek to go to St Albert Botanical Park with me so I could take some photos of flowers. Quite the change from photographing people - people are more co-operative than flowers in the breeze. Here's a few of my favourites from the day. I'm thinking of bundling them as a set of postcards, but who knows what I'll actually do with them!

On Saturday, July 12 I ventured off to Rundle Park to photograph an e-session with Chanell and Danny who are getting married next March. It's easy to see that they are absolutely smitten with each other! I'm sooo looking forward to photographing their wedding! Here's a few shots from the day!
