Portaits in the Park was fabulous!

Thank you to everyone that came out for Portraits in the Park this past Saturday! It was lots of fun, in spite of the lobster-like appearance I took on toward the end of the day due to the unrelenting sun. I met lots of great people and took lots of fabulous photos! Now, I just have to wade through them all for the final edits...

Since it did go so well, I think I will have another session, although it won't be all day because I am still pooped! I'm think the next one will be 4 hours with 16 15-minute sessions... now, this is where you all come in... Where should the next mini session be hosted? Mini Easter session with Adorable Andrea

I love ring shots!

I never thought it would happen! It seemed like such a girlie thing to be obsessed with jewellery... but I love diamonds! I love to take pictures of them! I'm obsessed! Let me take pictures of your rings, I promise to give them back! Here's a few recent ones...

New canvas!!

I just ordered my first canvas from Pixel2Canvas and chose one of the awesome TTD photos of Juli to use as a sample. I am so excited to see the canvas. I've heard such great things about the company and the quality of their work - will post a few photos when it arrives! Off to do the canvas happy dance!

I want to shoot a wedding in Vancouver!!!

I so want to shoot a wedding in Vancouver! I want to play near the ocean and do formals at the aquarium with the brightly coloured fish in the background and I want to have my bride and groom kicking their way through the fallen cherry blossoms! Please help me make this happen!

UPDATE: April 19 Portraits in the Park POSTPONED

Sadly, as Mother Nature is being highly uncooperative, tomorrow’s Portraits in the Park Session is being rescheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2008 with the same format.
I will keep the same schedule, but if you aren’t available for your slot, please let me know within the next week and then I can open up the time slot for someone else to use.
So sorry about the short notice, but I don’t think -11 with snow and wind will be much fun for anyone. Please spread the word to any others that you know who were planning to stop by.

Portraits in the Park

It's only one week away til Portraits in the Park at Hawrelak Park on April 19th. There are currently 8 spaces left for booking! Wow! It's going to be a busy day. If you haven't booked a session, please feel free to stop by and hang out and wait for an open session. Juli's Trash the Dress session at Galaxyland

On April 2, 2008 we ventured off to Galaxyland to do Juli's TTD session. We were joined by some awesome people from CityTV and we were looking forward to a great session. I had called ahead to make sure all was well for the day for the shoot and to get permission to do it. Well, it turns out that the lady i talked to didn't bother to document it before she quit. Guess who got hassled and eventually kicked out of the park??? Luckily we got a few great shots before we were booted and finished up the shoot in a parking lot downtown on Jasper. Well, nothing ever came of this shoot - we never made it to TV... oh well, it was fun anyway!

Sassy boudoir session with Terra

This past Tuesday, March 11th, I had the pleasure of spending a few hours photographing Terra in a boudoir setting. She is a stunning model and really knows how to light the camera on fire! Here are a few shots from the session. Checkout the rest of the session at www.envphotography.com

Trash the Dress session with Chantelle in Edmonton!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful bride in beautiful dress on her 5 month wedding anniversary. Chantelle was a delight to photograph and was willing to help me live out my vision for a snowy Trash the Dress session. We wandered around the Cloverdale neighbourhood where she played with a snowman, made snow angels, had a snowball fight with some kids and went tobogganing! It was a blast and I am in awe of how the photos turned out! Absolutely stunning!
